after a trip down to appin this arvo i ended up damaging my doors on a rock.
im just wondering what people do to fix their panel damage after going out wheeling??
i was thinking maybe a few coats of paint and then polishing it out might do the trick? i know i will never get the whole lot fixed like new but id like to get it as best i can.. even if i can blend it in somehow? any ideas people?
heres a before and after my drunken attempt to fix it

You know what I do, don't ya

Use matt black
The drunken attempt doesn't look bad, as least it'll stop it from rusting like you wanted

That's funny - how can I learn to write stuff like that?
Other than buffing the stains out, don't worry about it - a little bit of panel damage adds more capability than one locker, maybe two

new doors would cost big$$$. I was quoted $800 just for door shell for a 100 series from wreckers. Any good panel beater could repair your doors in a few hours. from the photos they dont look that damaged. Go and get some quotes.

But it will just happen again next trip out, save your money if you ever want to sell it get it fixed then. In the meantime just make sure it doesn't rust.

You could easily get them reskinned if you feel you need to fix it that bad.
If you do then go spend some $$ on some decent (IE will not flex up and mash the body more) scrub bars

the bars are strong, i was sliding along them for about 1m before it sliped down and lent against the door.
im gona get some quotes tomorrow. a mate already said he knows someone that will probably do it for around $400 so i think il just do that

i was thinking that, but i know that i will see the damage everyday and it will shit me and each trip out i will just go harder and harder until theres not a straight panel left.
if i keep the car in good nic then il be less likely to try things i shouldnt.
il just have to wait till i get another car to do the harder stuff.
