How to set wheel bearing tension?

I've tried that stupid search function :x
GQ wagon TD42
just wondering what is the correct procedure for setting front wheel bearing tension?
normally I would just tighten 1st nut till I felt no play from disc/wheel
then just add clip and tighten 2nd nut then bend tabs over and back.
just thought I'd ask what the book says??
