100 series Sahara Electric Window Switches

Post by physh »

Hi,

I want to replace the electric window switches in my 2002 FZJ105R GXL with the auto-up and auto-down switches from a Sahara model.

The plugs look the same from what I've seen, so I'm wondering where I'd be able to pick some up from.

If you either have some, or know where I might get some, could you let me know?

I'm in Canberra.

Cheers
Nick

99.9% shore that swapping over the master switches wont work, with auto up and down the motors are different as they have jamb sensors built into them

Hmm... would that be for the finger catching thing?

The electronics (logically anyway) would simply be that when the window reaches top or bottom and no longer has an easy path (ie it starts to load up because the window is up against the bottom stop) then the current draw of the motor would increase.

Think of a winch - as load increases so does current.

So there must be a way to force it to override just like the auto-down...

I figured it was in the switch.

Hi Nick

I'm not sure it the switches are the same as in an 80 series but I've done this conversion myself. Works great.
