Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Just wondering what you guys & girls think a 12HT with 300000kms on it with a rebuilt 5 speed would be worth
As I'm looking at selling mine to put a 5.7 ltr & auto in

since the 12ht is the best engine to ever digest diesel........ they dont sell under 3 very often, wreckers can be closer to 5 plus you got a 5spd to boot, my question is why would you want to part with this power plant for a v8 spend the money on the weisel. new injectors, new turbo, reco head, and exhaust for similar price and you will have a mota that will never say die, plus it will always run more efficient, which means better reliability,economy, plus the ability to boost up and create some real torque..........but hey, thats just my opinion

But if i can sell the motor & box that should pay for the new motor & Auto then I just need to fit it
Then it'll be an even better tow car & family 4WD

um auto, why??? big problem when an auto slips 8 hours from nowhere, i towed a 7.5m boat, on an extended tandem axle car trailer, weighing over 2t, from cairns to Newcastle over easter for under $500 in fuel, have the receipts. did it in 4days, with out a ticket. Mind you it runs 1.5b boost into a refreshed engine, but it will also do that for years to come. Its a fact that a diesel is more efficient when burning fuel, don't get caught up in the v8 thing, the 12ht is worth more than triple a decent pet v8 for more than one good reason. I wouldnt go back from my 12h since i got it, My advice do your home work and talk to people who are in the know and not just trying to make a buck

12HT's are shit... I'll give 500 bucks for it

If I put a v8 in the 60 with all the other stuff then in 3 or 4 years I can strip the 60 & build a buggy
this way i can get it past the misses
& it should make a bbetter tow car for my mates buggy
Auto is so my wife can drive it
If someone wants it atleast they could take it for a test drive
