Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I think I have a dodgy temp sender on my B 40series. I have tested the gague and it is working no probs.
Just wondering how to test a single terminal sender.
It may be easier just to replace it with a new one but I want to source the problem and be sure before I replace anything.
