soak it overnight with WD40 or similiar.

Other then that, big breaker bar. See what happens

it is already loose but has spun in the mount. I had them soaking all week (a squirt most days) all the others were good just the drivers side rear has spun.

I have used a new Loctite product called "freeze and release" or something similar. It cools the bolt down to -20c (which breaks it free of rust and seizure) and also contains a release agent like a WD40. Worked a treat.

im assuming its a rear one, you will have trouble getting it out and will probobally have to cut. the trick with them is to heat the nut with a butane torch before trying to undo it. the heat softens the locktite and they come out easy.

if its already spinning you've probably broken the "captive" bit that holds the nut in place, so now you have no chance other than cutting it out and then plating it...

I mighta been guilty of this

trouble is its loose and am not able to hold the nut as it is captured with a plate and is spinning inside. Yes it is in the back drivers side (not that that matters)

that happened to me on my old mk doing a body lift i used a arc welder because of the long electrode and welded the nut to the body witch allowed me to undo the bolt, you could try that mate.

if you can get in there try welding the nut back down. but 9 out of 10 times get a 25mm hole saw and a rubber bung.
drill above captured nut, use socket then put a bung in when your done. least then next time you just pop bung out and grab a socket.

I went through this 2 weeks ago when one of mine broke loose. I tried drilling a small hole and wedging a screwdriver against the nut but that didn't work so I used a 20mm holesaw and welded the nut solid.
Being a LWB the hole is completely covered by the thick metal strip holding the carpet down

bend floor pan in and put vice grips on nut n squash the captive retainer back onto the nut as these normally spread allowing the nut to turn, otherwise use a die grinder n grind through the tabs of the cage holding the nut in place and cut the head off the bolt then push the bolt up through the hole.
I've done the odd body lift in patrols.

I have this on many occassions when fitting bodylifts.
drill a 1/8 pilot hole in the end of the bolt from the top & then drill a the bolt out with a 12mm drill. fit new bolt from the top with a nut underneath.
DO NOR BUTCHER ANY BODYWORK.

All done guys thanks for the help. I ended up buying a hole saw and cut away the captured piece over the nut then put a large socket on the square nut as i was able to keep the nut and is easy to get to next time. the rear 2 bolts are dear due to the tread being finer. all up the bolts cost me $45, the 500mmx75mm machine grade alloy cost $100 and to get a mate to machine them a carton, so for a $175 I'm a happy camper. Cheers again for the ideas!!! :)
