cage questions

Looking into making a 6 pt cage, and want to know if ccda standards cover a cage thats in welded sections?

That said I mean if i get the 90deg corners bent and then weld on the straights to it? I know some rockcrawling buggies are built this way, would this be suitable for OBC and Winch Challenges?

After reading that it looks like noone really knows what the ccda specs are. Just says to go with cams.

NO !! you can't weld in bends

It must be continuous length of tubing for the main structure with smooth continuos bends and no evidence of crimping, wall failure or significant section weakening.

Yeah this is what I figured. Lucky I have a pipe bender then. Just need to buy the pipe now.

Going one hoop at A pilar, one at B pilar then two more supports to the back of the wag. Will be crossed braced with the spare mounted in the back.
