G'day all.
I know there are a few forum members in the Newcastle area.
Our thoughts are with you fellas (both sexes included), hope you all managed to escape the worst of that storm.
Cheers - Longbaser.

Not too bad now, but damn wet and windy. House escaped the worst, just a few trees down in the yard, had to build a mini dam in the yard to stop teh water getting into the house. Lost power for a while. Zook got put to good use driving through the flood waters and resucing people. The lake (i live on Lake Macquarie) level increased by 1.5 metres or so. making plenty of streets real waterfront property. A very LONG weekend.

Your not kidding. It was insane round there. On Friday arvo on the way home from work i was satching cars round me float around. Interesting game of pinball avoiding them. Had to drive along Orlando Rd and the water was flowing so fast about knee deep that it was puching cars across the road. Think it was closed just after i went through.

One time you do want a big heavy 4x4 ...
I wonder when Victoria will cop it .. I know here in Benalla the flood plans are being througly overhauled, Some trees removed and logs reoriented to allow the water to flow/drain away as quickly as possible.
It is a question of when not if .
