GU rear full floating axel?

I always thought all GU rear axels were semi flaoting but saw a rear axel on a GU yesterday that was full flaoting - was on a leaf sprung ute. Was this a custom fit or are the rear axels in the leaf GU full floating?
cheers, Tom

Isn't that an H260 diff? That's a 37 spliner, right?

Correct. It has 4.375:1 gears and drum brakes. It is also narrower than a coil sprung diff.

has there ever been any testing done on these big diffs, in regards to strength compared to other brands like a dana 60 or something like that? or peoples own opinions having owned them.... cheers nayto

axles are bigger than a Dana 60 (37 spline 1.7" as opposed to 1.5" 35 spline)
the diffs themselves are quite strong, 10.25" crown wheel.

they are huge and very strong. bubs is currently making a custom diff for his lux using one.
worst thing is they lack ground clearance compared to the normal "small" diff but they can be shaved (not sure how much they chop off tho)

I understand there's also a 34 splines H260. That's a semifloating? There's no ARb for this one. Guess only UTEs (pickups) comes with the FF 37 splines and LWBs with the SF 34 splines. I'm I right?

Not sure on the spline count, but i have a semi floating H260, RD71 is the part no for the ARB locker. TJM dont make a locker for this centre.

This is what I have. Maybe yours is newer. There's no ARB for the H260 34 splines and for 37 splines the part No. is RD70. That's what mine says. If you've got a newer version of the catalog, please inform me so I can download it somewhere....
