Hey everyone, Just in the process of cleaning up and preping a new rear axle to go into my MK and was wondering what people have done in the way of diff guards/protection/reinforcing for their front and rear diffs. Pics would be awesome.

I was just thinkin of makin up a plate which bolts onto where the carrier bolts onto the housing made of some heavy gauge steel plate that wraps around the pumpkin and protects the lower half. And maybe some angle or something along the back to protect the axle tubes. Is this un-necessary or good to do or any ideas from other people would be greatly appriectated.

Wanna try and do it myself to keep costs down. I'm assuming there are a few places that make Diff guards and the like.

Cheers
Mick
