Hi there, I hope someone out there can give me some helpfull advise!

I`ve just purchased a 93 petrol 80 series, I have contacted a few 4wd
stores and get alot of differant advise.
Im wanting to fit 35 simex under it, my question is:
What size lift works best???
One place said 2inch body, 2inch spring OR 4 inch tough dog springs.
Another deal in King springs and blue max shocks and suggested I go
5-6 inch spring as they settle down.

The vehicle is a daily driver, but I want it to work well off-road, I only want to do the job once and do it right. I do realise tha weight ( e.g Bar Winch, duel batterys, gas tank etc) will play a part in this.
Anyone with advise on what size lift and what brand of spring/ shockers they have used and are happy with, would be much appreciated.

Cheers, Pip.

I run 5" efs coils in my 80 with 35" et's, they scrape a tad
on full flex with no sway bars, but not too bad.

i used old man emu, 5 inch springs and the race, longer travel shocks.
no sway bars and 35 inch muds.
i drive it everyday and find it works well.

run peeds on weekend fun trips, they dont scrub.
give it a go?

m8 u wanted good advice...buy some second hand 2 inch OME springs and new long travel shox and a set of 2 inch body lift blocks....cheapest and arguably best option...keeps all the chassis/drivetrain as low as possible, keeps steering geometry, keeps copper and insurance issues at bay...also..think about it...you want to keep the tyres away from the guards, and are going 2 inches on raduis bigger tyres, what better way to do it than raising the body thesame amount...
Lastly...u got the cruiser cheap...dont waist too much on suspension...waiste it on lockers and sliders :)

My 80 is my everyday work car and I run,
2 inch body
2 inch OME springs
35 BFG's for road/everyday
36 swampers weekends
Haven't noticed any rubbing
still have sway bars
Very happy with setup
Have thought about 4 inch springs but then it just gets to hard with panards and steering etc and I just couldn't be bothered with all that crap these days as my hilux gives me enough headaches
