Will these tyers kill my gear box ?

Hi All.
I have an 81 rangey with 3.5 L with a holley ( witch has seen better days ) with the usual 4 speed of that era. LRA body lift and long travel suspension kit . I usually run 33's mickey thomsons for road duties and 31 simex for the fun stuff. With standard diffs the front with castor corrected hubs to suit the lift.
My question is . I have recently got myself a set of 35 x 10.5 simex ( E bay ) two are brand new and two are badly worn . About 30-40 % tred left on them. My concern is with the differences in rolling diameter will it kill my center diff ? I was planing to keep two good ones to the front or back.
I have done the roll out test and found that in one rotation of each wheel the new tyers travel 70mm more than the worn ones.
What do you think ? With the different amounts traveled will the old 4 speed pack it in ?
Or is putting 35s on standard diffs asking for trouble anyway ?
Buy the way I have no idea what spline the diffs are . My guess is 10 spline.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers

Not really, the engine is old and gutless , and with the holley the right foot gets a good work out.

I don't think you'll have too many dramas with the box but like everyone else ,i think you should look at a diff upgrade.

Live in Toowoomba. Am thinking about a diff upgrade but that's in the future - other things to do first.

Have been doing some research on the diff upgrade thing , but there are so many options. Nissan, toyota or maxi drive . None cheep . I allready have a 5L injected and a nissan 5 speed with LT230 conversion sitting in the shed waiting for funds. So diffs are on the cards, just don't know which way to go.All have their good and bad points.

Yep the diff subject has been flogged to death. But I've only been in this game for a few short years. So it's all new to me .
Will prob not put the 35s on just yet . Will prob just keep using the 31x10.5 simex for the moment ( their the same dia as the 33 mickey's any way ) .
Have diff guard will use ! ( again)
I am thinking now , to leave fitting the 35 s untill I can afford some second airs or some thing . Do it once ... properly .

With an 81 Rangie, you'll rip the axles to shreds with those little stockish sized tyres. Carry spares and know how to install them.

Do a salisbury rear. Much easier and probably cheaper. Trust me on this one

I did think of doing the nissan conversion , but not real keen on the rear drive shaft being on two angles because of the center being ..well ...in the center !
I would imagine that would not be the best for the rear uni's. Or dose a double cardian joint in the tailshaft fix that.
