Busted short front GQ axleshaft

Playing on some rocks last week I busted my right side CV (that would be the driver side in Australia). Thing is apparently the splines on the axleshat were also damaged. Do this happens often? (I mean the spline thing, not the CV hing which I know happens often)

My current setup is 4.62 gears out of a 2.8 GU and Pathfinder LSD which we shimmed to make it work almost as a spool. I run 37" MTRs. What would be your advise in order to avoid busting more CVs? Remove LSD and leave it open or take LSD back to stock or loosen it up a bit.

I plan to replace my front housing with one out of a GU, which I understand is stronger with bigger CVs. Now which GU should I aim for to get that housing?

This happens more oftern than not when I do a cv the spline is shot, especially with the ntn cv's.
You can get beefed up cv's to suit gq's but don't know where over there.

Where do you get those in Australia? Do you have a link?

Well, replaced my CV and axle with an stock one. Will start hunting for a GU diff. In the mean time, will have to drive carefully...
