ive been thinking about getting some trail tough 4.24:1 gears but since a lot of places we wheel down here are very sandy how does the lower low range cope in real soft boggy sand like down at robe, where momentum and revs are your friend?
the aussie $ is good and they're on sale

Having driven Robe with crawler gears in a Vit I can say that most driving was in high range with low only used a handful of times. They weren't a problem and if anything may have helped a bit on the steep climbs keeping the revs up. Remember that Vits are pretty light and high range will get you most places anyway if you are aired down correctly.
