Body lift tight steering

i have a hilux 2.8 d

and i done a body lift on the weekend 2 inchs and now my stering is tight any ideas on what that could be or ways to fix thanks. any ideas would be handy

Did you loosen the spline clamp on the steering column when doing the body lift?

nah i dident so what do i do now or have i done damage..?

loosen off the bolt on ur steering shaft and it sould let the shaft out more then do it back up again.

were abouts is that bolt i have no idea were to find it lol

next 2 steering box it a bolt going through the shaft

is that located on the inside of the firewall or the outside down the bottom of shaft..?

thumper, there is a good chance that your steering uni on the shaft your looking at at the moment is seized, when you do a body lift, the uni moves through a different arc, that was never used, and this is the part that gets seized, if the spline lengthening thing dosnt work, try that

The bolt is located under the bonet at the top of the steering shaft
