Hey guys,
I Own a 99 Jimny
I have just purchased a set of King Spring 40mm springs for my Jimny.
Now, what I need is a set of Mud tyres.
A lot of my driving is on the road but I have decided that I'm getting Muddies.

So which Mud tyre do I go for?

Hankook have a set of RF03 I can get them for $190 each.
They have an overall diameter of 27.9 inch
Or
I can get the BF Goodrich for $230 each.

Well lots of people use and have good results with the BFG. It's a very common tyre for a reason. Long tread life, not too noisy onroad, grips well in the wet stuff.

Hankook generall arent too bad. But for some reason that tread pattern just doesn't look that aggressive to me.

What sort of rims have you got?

BFG are a good tyre - have used them on Hilux's and could not fault them. Actually performed better once they had worn a bit.

Do you know of a good tyre in 30x9.5x15?
Are BFG's available in this size?

For $190 per tyre i'd look at the silverstone MT117 sport. Alotmore agressive and have a soft sidewall that lends itself towards the light weight zooks

I didn't think Silverstone made a muddy under about 33"? I agree though, they are quite an aggressive tyre, and well priced. I do question how easy it would be to stake one though?
