Does compatibility between gearbox?

Post by The bargeots »

Hello, I would like to know if the gearbox of GQ TD42 pass on a driving TD28T. However not exist there kit of conversion?

In fact one intends to mount an engine of 6.5L on a gearbox of TD42, but like one has that the engine and that one would like to prepare the place before finding the gearbox (moreover if somebody is ready A to sell some for France, that would be cool!)

Thanks.
Afflict for my very bad English...

hi mate,

a 2.8 box is much different from a 4.2 box. they will not work together

if you want to put in a 6.2, you need the 4.2 gearbox..

2.8L Gearbox is the same as teh 3.0L petrol gearbox with different bell housing. according tot he Gregories manual the FS5R30A is used in both 3L petty and 2.8L diesel.

You need a FS5R50A that is used in the 4.2L Diesel and 4.2L Petrol models
