Straight gas 308 hard to start when warm

Got the patrol running again after it decided to start expelling large amounts of oil everywhere.
AFter new head gasket, inlet and dizzy gaskets it is still showing a little weeping around the front and rear inlet gaskets in the valley but nothing like it was leaking. I have both crank case breathers disconnected but there still must be some blowby not being vented to cause such pressure?
Now back to my original problem, Im running straight gas 308 and in the mornings (or whenver the engine is cold) it fires up and goes straight away, no problems.
Once its warm it will crank for maybe 5-6 seconds or more before it fires up. If you turn it off then start it straight away, it will fire up again ok, but for instance at petrol station when I come back from paying, I have to crank for 6 seconds or so.
Any ideas?
