Hey
Im looking for a more powerful alternator for my 90 mod 2.8D lux, its only got the 55amp one at the moment.
Ive heard that a cruiser one bolts straight up? This correct and if so what cruiser is it off?
Any help or links would be good.
Cheers

I got mine rewound to about 120amp+ works great.
Doesnt pump as much charge in at idle but heaps after 1000rpm.
Cost me about 400 bucks though

Asked a auto elect about it and what he said was it needs to have more rpm, like 2000 to get it charging. I'll lookin into that more if i have no other option.

I've got a '92 Surf and got a new Alternator from an auto electrician for a 3L. It's 75/80 Amp. You just need the one from around '92 and from a 4WD. I believe the 2WD were about 55Amp. Mine is front mount Vacuum Pump. Which do you need, front or rear mount vacuum pump?
