MQ rear diff into GQ front?

I have an ARB airlocked MQ rear Diff and I want to put it in a GQ front then run that all up front (rear is gonna be a H260)
So...
Will an MQ rear diff (standard MQ 4.3 with locker) fit into a GQ front housing?
Also I have treated MQ C.V's will they fit into GQ hubs or do I just bolt my MQ Hubs, knuckles, brakes, etc...? Are they GQ brakes much better?
If it does I can use my MQ Hi-steer and all to save some coin...
Will the housing need mods?
Will the axles slide straight in with out mods?
Is it cheaper/better to just buy a new airlocker?

hi mate none of the mq stuff will fit the rear diff is completely different, and the cvs are different as well not sure if the cv ends will fit though, but it would be easy to get new locker quicker and easier and less hassles

Your MQ 3rd. member works on the FRONT GQ diff. You justi keek GQ housing, axles and knuckles. You could use your MQ CVs as they are 27 splines on the axle side. Just like your GQ axles. In fact, that's what many guys do locally in order to run manual hubs. Now, I don't know if your treated MQ cvs willl be stronger than your stock GQ ones...

Yes, centres are 31 splines. CVs are 27 splines on the axle side and 31 on the free wheel hug side. That's front. Rear is 33 (well that's for H233Bs. H260s are either 34 or 27 splines)

Well after a few phone call's.
I'll be useing my rear MQ centre in the GQ front housing. The GQ housing with also be fitted with my MQ knuckles and hi-steer.
Are the GQ's wider than MQ's? how much?
Are the roator's and/or brake calipars bigger/better?
Are the MQ locking hubs stronger than the MQ hubs?

why not put the 60 series front (with longs) in it and have some decent strength instead of the pissweak nissan crap.

If i go 60 i have to buy another airlocker when i have a nissian one already and it all so means gettin a H260 4.1.
Aren't nissian diff's stronger than toy's?
I plan on runnin 31 spline chromoly axles and cv's greg.

Where do you get them cromo axles and cvs? Will that be stronger than GU cvs ?

around 6 or 8" wider I would guess
yes
MQ stronger than MQ? stay away from the drugs!!
so you are going to keep the locker, re-drill the crown wheel bolts and bolt to RD04 to RD09 crown wheel?

from longfeil, yes they are stronger, you can also run a custom axle and run the longs in a GQ, you may have to do somethinf with the hub??

LONGFIELD DON'T DO THEM, there is VERY little requirment for them in the states. they're bein made in the states to an aussie's specs and them shipped her for sale.
Long's can be made to fit a GQ housing and diff but yes you need a custom hubs as far as i know.

ABT were doing the kit to make them fit a while ago, pretty pricey though, I sure with some know how and access to the right gear you could do it relitivly cheaply

if you know someone who does cnc stuff you would be able to get axles done cheap, you will need to check the differences between OD of the out shaft on the CV as well as length and spline count, you may need to either shim the stub axle that the CV runths through, as far as the hubgoes you prolly best to machine a new gear thing that locks the hub thats all providing the CV in long enough, you reaaly need to get a GQ CV and a toyo CV and measure everything up, can get a better idea based on that, if you have a GQ CV you can measure up I have a toyo CV I can compare for you
