Redline Synthetic oils

Are Redline gear oils worth their money?

I have noisy rear diff, which was installed when I went to the airlocker (4.88 to 5.12). The diff is noisy but has been OK'd by the driveline specialist so it shouldn't crap itself anytime soon.

Redline "claim" it can reduce a noisy diff.

Has anyone tried it and is it worth it?

I can put up with the noise, which occurs between 50-60 and 100-110km/h, but would rather fix it cheaply and my only other option is to change the ring/pinion.

The Nulon stuff really works does it?

Can it be used with airlockers?

The website says it reduces "period" diff noises which I guess is my problem.

Really, try anything you like in there mate - it is really only going to hide the problem which will ultimately have to be fixed. If you get away with it for long enough to suit you - fine.

I am sure that either of these products will help, a bit, but an additive is an additive and redline use very high quality base stock so they are not really comparable to an additive.

I will be going to redline in my 660cc gearbox because it will be working far harder than Suzuki intended and I want to hold it together.
