As most know I am now building a buggy, and they way I have done it I think ill need to custom build some headers to clear everything.

Question I have is how important is it to get the primary tubes equal length ? is it that critical ? I mean its not a performance race car..

any thoughts and ideas appreciated

not that important really

A standard log type header found on pretty much all non-performance based cars is a prime example of how unimportant it is if performance is not critical.

I mean I want the headers to be an improvement over standard, i just not sure if making them not equal length will have any effect on things, and i mean how much extra power will I gain from equal length pipes ?

we made the ones for the rotary ourselves, just made what fitted into the buggy.

i'ts a buggy Ben, equal lengths won't matter.

As everyone has said, it is unimportant. Its only important if you have a hi-po engine where every bit of cylinder scavaging is needed.
Just make sure the inner diameter isnt smaller than original.
