Hi,

What does this do? The box has a solenoid on the top. I assume it is for lighter steer at low speeds, therefore linked to a ECU and speed sensor. I have a number of these boxes as spares. Can these be used on a standard power steer set up without the PPS hooked up? No one that i have rang seems to know what it would do if fitted.

Thanks Greg

The PPS makes the steering heavier at speed so they wander less. I had one and fitted it to a std 80 and it worked the same as the non PPS box. Just leave the pressure control valve on the steering box unconnect !

yeah, it makes engine a small part more efficient (up to 3%) and uses more or ordinary pressure at idle/slow, and reducing the faster you go
