Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hi,have an 02 gu wagon,i've noticed a bolt missing from the back of the swivel hub area,it's the only one with a locknut(i believe it's called a limiter bolt).What does this bolt do in the scheme of things.I've ordered another one just curious as to what it does and is it still ok to drive for now.

its a steering stop, if its the lhs on full lock right the teer link will hit the panhard mount n wear a groove in it

funny that, my mechanic noticed today that mine was missing as well.
