Just about to order a new set of shocks for my HJ60. But they dont make the ones I want for a 2" lift...only a 4" lift.

I have ramped my truck and took measurements, but as I always do...I have lost the piece of paper with all the measurements on.

I just jacked up the front corner to see how far (if at all) I would have to move the top shock mount to suit the new shocks. This is where I started getting baffled.

Whenever I have ramped it in the past, I have never come across the shock being to short...the shock was at full extension at full travel (on the ramp). Thats why I had the thought that the shocks were not limiting travel.

But when I jacked up that one corner (to the point of tyre being off the ground) up I was able to go about 60mm PAST full extension of the shock.

How does that work?

It makes me think that I can get more travel out of the front end with what I have got...just dont know how?

It just seems weird to me that it wont travel that far on a ramp, but will do when jacking up that corner.

as Pauline once said..."please explain"

P.S I feel like a NOOB
