GU front tube bar.

I'm looking @ getting a front tube bar for the GU & wanted to see what was out there.
I don't mind the look of the Macquarie bar & have seen a couple of the bars on a few of the GU's in the OBC that look
.
Not too keen on Cheezy's front bar nor the FAT bar though I guess they could be modded to suit
.
If anyone can post up a pic of their front bar on their GU (or someone elses') it'd be greatly appreciated
.
cheers
Joe

No dramas mate
There is a few custom made bars out there (plenty @ the OBC) though I've only really seen one that grabbed my attention (Red GU ute with yellow bar work @ the Willowglen comp).
I'm sure Brooksy will come up with a 'flash' looking bar for me

Ask Wazza from Flamin' Fabrications... he'll custom make you one.
What a good wife I am
I'll post you a picture of his front bar, but it's on a GQ.. (when the kids get off my computer!)..

You're a good woman Bel but I've left Vic nearly 12 months ago now so it's a long way back home to get him to do me a bar though he done a nice job on the sliders he made for me
.
I know the one you're talking about Troll & I've actually got a pic of it here. It was @ Expo the other month, I'll give them a call & see what it's worth to make.
cheers

If I had the right tools I would. No use in using a cheap arse bender, etc & ending up with a cheap, tacky looking bar
This thing wreaks of class

not tube but looked into a custom front GU bar with bubs and with airbags fitted it was going to be nothign but dramas so decided to part with the folding and by an arb off the shelf one. Just because i dont want to get hung out to dry by insurance/DOT/whoever... I'm keen to see how you go GU Bug!
PS - sliders are on and look the business. Not bush tested yet though - absolutly hanging to go for a bush run when i manage to jack her up 4 or so and can get the 35's out of the gargare and under the girl! I'll let you know when i have done so and i'd love a guided tour up around Glasshouse...
Ben.

Good to hear the sliders all went together well for you Ben
.
As for the bar, I don't have airbags in the ute so it's not so much of an issue for me. I had the same prob with the wagon as far as building a custom bar that would be compatible with air bags.
I'll give you a hoy if we head out to Glasshouse.

Ben.
The abs sensor in the wagons is an accelerometer mounted under the centre console.... so you have have a dozor blade mounted to the front bumper and it shouldnt affect the ABS. This was discussed recently!
