Can any one help me with this request for 84 HJ60?
Can't seem to find the bugger anywhere.
Cheers,
Luke.

Luke, it might pay to purchase the relevant Gregory's service manual, they have a wealth of info on virtually all aspects of your rig.

righteo, my mistake sorry.
Have you checked for voltage at the relay and the glow plugs? using a simple test lamp you will be able to test the presence of voltage and the duration of the timer. Finding the timer prolly won't help you if the manual doesn't mention it - there will be multiple pins on the timer that won't mean anything without the manual to explain their connection.

Doh, just remembered my mates rig - he manually had to prime the glowwys. Didn't think the 60's had a timer, a switch or button on the dash triggers the glow system?

Yeah, done that, mate came over who works for nrma roadservice, checked all he could, batts ok, thinngs might point to a dodgy duel batt solinoid or alternator. Take it to auto elec. tomorrow, they came play with it.

UUggghhh! Intermittent faults, they are the hardest to find. Hope the sparky finds it for you.

Check the front kick panels, l/h/s should be the timer and r/h/s should be the edic motor/fuel control relay.

The timer is behind the passanger kick panel
To check to see if the system is working turn your
ignition to glow and watch the battery gage it should drop
to about 8-10 while glowing. If knot check the fusable link
near the battery if it is broken half way through it will only
work intermittently
Byepass the link and see if it works properly
hope this helps its what was wrong with mine
