central locking on tool boxes

Post by dunc »

i want to connect up my central lockin to my toolboxs in the tray of my ute (im sick of having two extra keys on my keyring for opening hte dam things up, plus the original locks are easy to break off)

i think this shoucl be possible if i find the right locking mechanism to connect the solenoid to.. has anyone seen a high qual locking mechanism that could be suitable for this application or any ideas on how to rig one up? something similar to the type you see on steel cabinets woudl be ideal (you know with the rotating cam that actuates two rods which go throught the bottom and top of the cabinet)

any ideas are much appreciated. dunc.
