thanks for all the input guys,
well i had to laugh, i rang up both coventries and repco and both wanted around the $100 and they weren't in stock. I rang supercrap and they wanted $69 for a CBC brand one. I thought all was lost until supercrap rang me back and told me that they sell "Trident" brand ones for $25!!!

So if any1 looking for one go to Supercheap!!!!

Heys

In perth i bought a 2nd hand genuine suzuki cap for about 40 bux from suzukishop. u can tell genuine as the key even has the a code on it.

New i think they about 70-80 from the dealer. Premier motors suzuki in ossie park is the best for parts i have found for dealer bits.

well there was this guy on the internet inquiring about replacing one until he found out they were $40 each. So he posted a thread to find out who still had a locking fuel cap and he didn't. Sort of like the Nigerian scam but different :D

Hiya Im following this with interest, I kinda need fuel cap too cause at the moment I am using the engine oil cap of a 1 ltr engine. It works when on flat ground but not too good on the slopes. What was the code of that Trident one that ya got from supercheap?
Cheers

if you leave your car unlocked in a servo in nsw you can void your insurance even if it has no roof and is a $120 fine to boot :?: locking fuel caps are $30 at tonys suzuki wreakers tonesautoparts@hunterlink.net.au if anyone is interested

not electric, its got a cable.
it wouldnt take much to pop it open if someone wanted to, but its near imposible to stick a hose down there as theres a kink or something in the filler hose that prevents you from getting more than about 40cms down

Not sure if you realise but ANYTHING flat that fits in the lock will unlock it when turned use to play games with paddle pop sticks, no didnt steal them just hid them from mates :finger: .
At $40 each theres no way I was getting one seeing as the lock is useless so Im using a 1lt oil cap or is that 710? Mine dosnt leak on angles.
