Nothing is road legal outside your manufacturers specs

I was sure the ones I was looking at on the firebug were speed/load rated?
Steve.
Yes, I know this doesn't make them road legal on your car, but it should make them potentially legal if the engineers cert permitted the size

there was info on thid recently, they have DOT approvel in the states but dont have the correct speed rating over here. I think it was 130km/h or something like that

This is certainly true of Swampers, which are DOT E4 rated (140km/h) But I was soooo sure I was reading the sidewall of the Firebug at the last OZRock and saw an ADR compliant speed rating format - ie 112 L or (or whatever)
If who I was talking to about this at OZROCK remembers what we were saying pipe up.

Save dribbling and dreaming, call Ryano at Fourbys in Qld.
He will give you the low down and no maybes. but it maynot be what you want to hear since the only reply you answered was a 'possible' yes..

Your 33's and Climax shacles would need a cert, and good luck getting them certed
Best ringing someone who knows for sure, you can never be sure by what people say on here, and if your that worried get radial tyres.
My sugestion is you get creepys for offroad, and run smaller more road legal tyres on the road

I'm so happy that my tyre placard says
15 x 10 inch rim and 35 x 12.5 x 15 tyre, so I can always go go the ADR approved 50mm Bigger to 37's
Hoppy
sorry for being a smart ass
