Water in diff

So - I have an arb diff breather kit, yet somehow water has still gotten into my diffs. Something to do with the stupid amount of time that my poor zook spends in mud and creeks.........

Should I just drop the oil and put in some fresh stuff, or should I strip out the wheel bearings, cv's etc and repack the entire lot?

The lazy part of me wants to just change the oil and throw some fresh grease into the hubs and wait until the bearings shag out before I strip it all down.

What do you guys think? Is there a huge danger of wrecking my cv's if I dont repack them now?

Cheers all, Wellsey.

I'd replace it, drive around for a week then replace again and she'll be sweet.

Tat way you make sure the second lot of oil isn't contaminated. The way I was told is that the Water chemicaly changes the oil which is what will do damage

Not 100% but it could be cheaper then a new dif, Ben

That sounds like a good compromise man, I'll do that. Cheers for the advice all.

Pull the hub off and see if there is water. If not put it back together. Other wise buy new cv for later. Must be nice to have heaps of money. How much was the breather kit ? Mine cost $4 dollars. Two hose clamps and some old garden hose.
