Are the idler arms the same??

I have a 98 IFS Lux I snapped the idler arm yesterday, I have found one for a 5L (3.0L) Lux are they the same??

give REPCO a call and ask them if the part numbers match, if no luck ill have a look at my parts catalouge when i go into work later.

Yeh the have said there is no part number for the petty only the diesel. I have had a look they look very similiar and I cant see a reason why they would be different. I just wanted to confirm as I have to the Sunny Coast to repair it.

I highly doubt there is a difference between the Petrol and the Deisel. There never has been in the previous models.

im sure they had 2 different shaft sizes on early models , as i have put a new nylon bush kit in them before

Thats True but that was different build dates and delivery locations(Aus-Japan). Not Petrol/Deisel. The complete unit is interchangable though.

What you need is one of these ones boof.

Thicker chomoly shaft, bronze bushed and greasable.

Yeh the diesel one is in there and seems fine. Ausyota where do I get one from, Id like to upgrade to that and keep the one I just bought as a spare.
