gday all, im putting in a 2" dropped front hanger into my runner to fix the nasty angles and to clear for my xover/ highsteer, im looking at keeping the front springs that are about 3"-4" custom kings, and the rears are about the same although flatter with 2" blocks, as the front will be a bit higher, i need to level out the rear, and want more flex! the front is awesome with longer shocks but i need more on the back, dont have an issue with relocating the factory hanger locations, any one know of whats best?
Seen in the states they talk about std ifs rear springs? i want to clear 35's under full flex, yes have a pair of front chopped guards. Lol
Cheers

Standard IFS rear packs with an 8" shackle wont give you the same height but you can rebuild the rear pack using some of your old leafs they do improve flex compared to standard.
Use the main leaf from the ifs pack and build it from there

IFS rear springs are like 51" long compared to the 48" on the normal ass end so you gain 3" extra in length but also gain using the shackle length for flex

I think some use them from the mazda vans???
12 inch shackles
fark theyd stand out like dog balls lol but they would prob help give the height and a decent shackle angle

If you havent got one already, look into trac bar as well, as once you soften the rear up to chase flex, you will get bulk axle wrap. Also, using blocks will increase the wrap bigtime, as it allows greater leverage over the spring. Blocks IMHO are a band aid solution to gaining height.

yeah no worries, i dont have any issues with axle wrap atm, but the springs are load rated and i havent changed the pack from the original custom specs,, unsure to me what they are exactly, i was told by the dude i bought the doner car off that they were taken from the same specs as one of snakeracings first comp lux's back in the day when they first started out, apparently he knows them or something, i know where i can get some stock ifs springs, dunno for how much but do u reckon thats the way to go? im not sure about huge shackles kinda seems sketchy. i want the hight to clear 35's without body lift if i can help it, dont want it top heavy i have a set of gaurds to chop, and will poke new shock towers through inner guard.
cheers

If you want real good flex Trail Gears 3" front and rear springs are good they move the diff forward on the front.
Out of the box the front gave 24" of travel on this sasd runner.
Go to this link and check out the pics of the front flex.
