it is an option for a swing away tyre carrier, you know just like his initial question. t gives a link to details and shows a picture of one.

they look like a dodgy product to me - have a look at how far it flexes when it opens on the home page, plus, it puts the latch and hinge in the most vulnerable position imaginable. This is US product at its (sadly) typical worst IMHO.
I still say the original question was has anyone MADE a swingaway tyre carrier for a GU, so to date, neither of us have helped this guy.

PS, my advice is to buy a kaymar or ARB one. They are very hard to fabricate well and lots of them fail. They need a lot of careful engineering, espcecially in relation to the latch, which is why ARB use a door striker style latch and Kaymar built their own.
