suspension question

ok just been to see the engineer to get seating and body lift done...
questioned about the suspension ...
the angle of the steering arm and panhard on the front would cause roughly about 20% bumpsteer.. engineer saying its to much of an angle? ... any one had problems with this ...
any one else had an engineer go over their suspension

you want to make your drag link and panhard rod follow exactly the same axis and have the "same" points when looking from the front of the car. wendle can explain this very well.

yeh the engineer said some thing about having them parallel to the diff
but thats some major work from what i see
wendle ... oh wendle ... where for art thou

the more horizontal they are the better but it's quite hard to change the angle of the drag link without new arms, or less lift. but it's not hard to redo your panhard to follow the drag link.

Wendle is either dead, or away until January. Try and get them paralell. Or drop the springs down. Pass the cert. and pump them back up? who knows!

I have briefly returned to the land of the living!
usually the panhard needs to be flattened out a bit to match the draglink to keep engineer dudes happy. depends on how much caster you are running, the more the caster gets into the positive, the flatter the draglink gets, the more it gets into the negative (or less than stock) the steeper the draglink gets, the panhard doesn't change much because it is mounted very close to the axle centreline.. at a guess, i would say that you could drop the chassis end of the panhard a touch (be careful of breaking your arms and so forth

) to match the angle to your draglink..
