Fact, MQ/MK Front spring spacing is the same as WT sierra,
Back is a lot wider on the MQ and requires them to be moved.

apart from being a stronger diff you will lose out on clearance under the diff center. Thats one of the main reasons suzukis go as fer as the big boys.

From memory, when we messured the they were the same width as vitara rear, give or take
On the clearance thing, thay are pretty good in the front, and you can shave some, just hit it with the grinder, its the rear that is big, GQ size, its only saving grace is that tey are offset.
MQ steering is strong, I prefer it to hilux.
Can also fit GQ CV's in MQ fronts and there are Chromo's avaliable now for GQ.


My buggy aint that wide, the diffs are upside down though so clearence is better.


Sierrajims zook with stock MQ diffs SPUA, looks wide because of plenty of offset.



My old Zook had widened MQ front to make the narrow track spring spacing work to the cast spring pad.

Are the rears cast? how much are we talking when we talk wider than WT?

Also with the smaller nissans, navara and the like i beleive the centres are same ratio, will these fit in the back better

they're somewhere between 100-125mm wider.

REar spring pads aren't cast. The only cast pad is the driver's side front as it is on the diff.

the Navara rear diff is the same as the MQ front, but it's centred. also, the cast centre can't usefully be shaved for clearance but the MQ rear can be shaved a fair way.

4.6:1 petrol is the most common/best ratio. It's ideal for most larger tyred sierra builds.

Power loss? I doubt you could pick it. I think this is a bit of a 9" myth, but 9"s have a very heavy pinion offset (so a very big angle on the gear contact) and the extra pinion bearing.

Dude, the RHS offset off the rear pumpkin is a good thing. Notice that your transfer case, and a standard zook rear is ofset to the RHS. A MQ rear is offset to the RHS too, making it easier to set-up with no vibes than a Hilux rear (bundera are offset, hence their apeal). Maybe you need to understand the cause of driveshaft vibes, uni opperation etc a bit more.

720mm rings a bell maybe w/t and the narrows are under 700 ,
thats centre bolt to centre bolt if its right ?

I had a set of nissans long time ago , reason i didn't use them , we had a narrow track running spoa , the nissan cast front could have been done spoa but with narrow track spacing a lot of grinding and welding the cast centre so i shy'd away .

They allways reminded me of a Dana 35 , there a nice choice for the bucks .
