OK has any lift been installed? TJ have a big problem with rear driveline angle. If that's not helping tell him to get a cherokee uni clamp they are a U shaped uni clamp instead of the pissy bolt though jobs that are standard.
But if hes popping them all the time then there must be a bigger issuse somewhere. Do the obvious things like check control arms and trannie case end and make sure the uni it's self hasn't got movment in it.

the car is bog stock standard no lift ,standard tyres, jeep have had a go at it twice just replacing unis, i checked it out and the rear uni is absoloutely farked, seems as though it might of flogged the tabs that locate the uni in position, and might be comming loose... i will have a better look tomorrow....

There were a few examples of this problem kicking around a few years ago. One example was a guy towing a caravan with a stock wrangler and through a rear uni. Problem was attributed to the poor factory diff ratio and the load this seemed to put on the driveline. Difficult to be certain as the problem doesn't happen to everyone but changing the diff ratios and a SYE/driveshaft conversion seemed to fix it (fixes a lot of things). Expensive solution and problem should be addressed under warranty anyway (this fix would most likely void his warranty though) but just food for thought.

Where uni's are regularly being spat out - I'd suspect that the yoke could be damaged - thus by just replacing the uni the damaged yoke will just chew out the next uni.....
Just a suggestion

I had this problem when I had my TJ started with a squeeking noise when turning at low speed, looked everywhere couldnt find the problem, a few weeks later whilst climbing a large hill with sheer cliff on one side the uni snapped, and I nearly went over the edge, After being pulled to safety by a Jackaroo I replaced everything and all was fine for two weeks and then the same symptoms started again. By this time I was pissed off with the whole quality of the car and just pissed it off. Just to many problems for a new car and they were things that just don't break on a Japanese car.
Oh and dealing with the Jeep people was worse than a trip to the dentist, Talk about not wanting to know you after they had my money.
