Outer Limits 4x4 Board

now i know some people will think im dumb askin as did the two 4x4 shops i went to and got turned away, but im lookin for anyone who can TRY and get my beadlocked maxxis 38's balanced(even if its just a little better) I have brand new rims and tyres and just want some one who can give it a go, they actually dont wobble hardly at all and there isnt an ounce on weight on em so im sure someone with a half decent balancer that can fit 38s on it could help me?? anyone know of anyone in Melbourne??

i balanced my 35inch creepy's try 700 grams on one rim have fun is all i can say itd be better to throw a few bags of that balance powder in if you ask me otherwise get used to the shakes

When you air right down with beadlocks, the tyres and rings move a little bit and will have a small effect on the balance.

I say don't bother, you will be chasing it forever.

If you have alloy beadlocks with a locating flange like walker evans beadlocks, these should take a balance. the steel rings never seat on anything so the bolts do all the work which is where the movement comes from.

I have run steel beadlocks since 2000. some time spent getting the tyres well aligned on the beadlocks will make a big difference.

poor installation when the flanges are welded in makes a big difference too.

I set up a set for a clubmembers car here and they run super true- no shake at all. (offset 15X6 rims with Q78 swampers)

Maybe try somewhere that does truck tires

when i tried postin it the computer came up with DEBUG or something and i didnt think it worked so i reposted.....ooops

i use magnum balance power in my beadlocked 37inch bais claws works ok but still shakes at some speeds but when you put them on a balancer its impossible to get them any better thats why i run MTZs on the street

i run about 400g of steel ball bearing in each of mine and seems to go OK... (35 pede's on 15x8 custom built wheels with 25mm further offset than curiser sunnies).

Still wobbles a little bit at 35psi and 40kph and between 85-95kph. But then again you shouldn't really be running them on road. Offroad at 4psi (lux) you dont even notice out of balance tyres

What you do notice is everyones heads turn when you come to a stop and it sounds like all your bearings fell out onto a concrete floor! it's just the bearings falling from the top of the tyre onto the steel rim inside the tyre. LOL.
