Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I own a 1999 hilux SR5 and recently i ran out of fuel.
Granted i should have been keeping a better eye on it but there was no warning light.
Just wondering if there ISNT a light at all or just some bad wireing?

Blown globe in the dash? Took me months to realise I didn't have an oil pressure light in my dash - fortunately, I discovered the problem the cheap way.
