Just thought I would start one fo these since this was what we looked at while comparing to the CRV.



My biggest complaint with the Jeep was it felt much smaller!

My concerns with the Liberty are build quality (Jeep's have had a fairly poor recent track record on this department), safety (the insurance institute rated it as "marginal", and the rollover worries are still there), and gas mileage. Given that they dropped the suspension down by nearly and inch on the Liberties following the rollover scandals, reducing their off-road worthiness substantially, I don't see any compelling reason to pick one over a CR-V or Forester (for urban driving) or an Xterra (for off-roading).

i too am guilty, but how is he when he says, if you want it for offroad you may be better off getting an x-terra!! :roll:

he must be the editor from "Drive" in SYdney Morning Herald. they gave Suzi Grand Vitara a 4.5 out of 5 for offroading ability...

he normally drives a jeep, and that is why he thought the vitara was awesome

no he actually thought all toyota are crap, and he prefers a KIA over any jeep. and he drives a lada, and his wife drives a HRV
