Front drop out????????

My freind ordered an ez locker from the USA for his rear diff, problem is they have emailed him askig for a photos of his front drop outs so they can make sure he gets the right one. I told him ill try find out what it is while he is at work and cannot contact them.
Can anyone tell me what a front drop out is??????
