Bodylift..Move radiator?

Ive got a 3 inch bodylift in my patrol and have noticed since ive converted to LPG and 37's the temps are harder to keep under control. On big hills etc it starts to climb. Its not a big problem as its so cold outside at the moment but ill need this fixed for summer.
What have people done with the radiator?
I have the cowling fitted but it sits 3 inches higher than the fan so probably is not working efficiently.
Do you:
Drop the whole radiator?
Lower the cowling?
Any tips from people that have done any of this would be great.

on a 3" body lift if u turn the cowling upside down and redrill it. It will fit the radiator perfectly .
Unless u have already cut it

then u will need to get a new one

3" have you checked bottom radiator hose, mines half kinked from 2" yours having 3" maybe worse restricting flow?

The hose is fine.
Does the shroud usuallly go all the way around the fan? Mine must be missing the bottom section or something.
If i turned it upside down then it would be completely covered across the bottom and have a gap across the top.

It should completely surround the fan, and be virtually sealed against the radiator. Otherwise the fan will pull air around the radiator instead of through it... path of least resistance.

I have been told that not having the bottom section makes all the difference.. but mine never had it. Some people have refitted this bottom section and it has cured all cooling issues. I have also heard of people lowering the radiator too as there were arguements about how to do it.. quite funny in an OL way

When I did my 2 inch body lift I dropped the raditator 2 inches and i've never had heating problems caused my the bodylift.
It's not very hard to do all you need to do is make a couple of brackets (straght pieces of steel) 2 inches longer for the top mounts and grind the bottom mounts off and drop them 2 inches and weld them back on.
I'd post up some photos but I don't have the patrol at home at the moment.
Cheers Mick.

Thanks for the tip.
Im going to change the fan hub (i just swapped for a spare last time which may not be working 100%) first then ill look at either getting another shroud and turning it around as suggested and if that fails i guess ill drop the whole radiator down.
