what is the most boost i can run

i have a 92 hilux 2.8L witch i have recently put a 2.4L turbo set up on what is the maximum boost i can safley run?
how much are people runing succesfully?

id stick with say 10 or so, depends what your doing with it. You could go higher sure, but whatever u do its not guna be a rocketship

i wouldnt really go past 10psi,
is it intercooled at all?

What you you mean by "safely" and what are your personal consequences of failure?
For example someone who drives in remote areas has a lower tolerance of risk than someone who thrashes their truck around a sand pit and then trailers it home.
These engines crack heads with factory boost, for some that's too much.

I would stick around the factory 7psi for durability of the turbo and the motor. The CT20 is not that great of a turbo and really heats the air up at higher boost pressures.
On my 2L (2.4 litre predecessor to the 3l you have) I was running 11psi boost with extra fuel, all I ended up with was crap exconomy and an overheating motor . I have since put it back to 7 psi and the same fuel settings and have no issues with overheating even with a load on board, I can rev it longer and harder without worrying about meltdown to boot.
If you want to run higher boost pressures you need to look at a "better" more efficent turbo that does not heat the incomming charge as much for the same boost.

a lot of the surf guys who have hiflowed their turbo's have mentioned they get more power and less heat. the stock CT20 is not very good at high boost or high air flows.

i would recomend fitting a boost gauge and exhaust temp gauge and adjust untill it works well for your truck

Ditto ..
I have friend in Canada running 14 PSI in 2L-TE engine without problems .. keeping in ming that the 3L it's indirect engine with plenty of more compresion, safe number come to 10 PSI wihout intercooler ..
But always check your compresion prior to any mod and urn your gauges ..
