G'day,
My '97 j20a vitara started to run funny this afternoon with a slight miss down low, yesterday it had a good wash & a fair soaking in the engine bay.
Today I have pulled the coil packs out, dried & cleaned them along with all the plugs around the Throttle Position Sensor & it still has the miss down low.
I retrieved the error codes & its pointing towards the TPS, are there any tests I can do to pin point the TPS sensor as the problem?
If it does turn out to be the TPS is there a non-genuine replacement?
cheerz

hey nicbeer,
the good wheeling is at least a 3 hours away either north or south of adelaide, there are a few short tracks that are reasonably local but nothing to challenging and are a fair way apart from each other.....

it seems to have fixed it self?:?,
i've run 2 full tanks of fuel through it & its cleared up. so i'm thinking i got a load of bad fuel. i aways ran mobil premium in it from the day i picked it up, i've now started using shell v power & it is running normal now. I cleared the error codes from the ecu & will be keeping an eye on them to see if it occurs again.
