dual alternators

Has anyone done it? (i seem to remember "Bogger" running twins.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Why not run bigger alternator instead of double? I would imagine it would put less load on your motor..
Then again depends on what your trying to do i guess.

could you run a seperate 24v alt with 2 batteries in series to run a 24v winch? a lot of effort i know but the winch would never fail you. it would run cool as and would have it's own electrical circuit, isolated from the rest of the wiring.
