27psi??

Alrighty just got the turbo kit in on the 4.2 diesel patrol. 170kw (rough tune then the clutch popped...) Guys realisticly what length of life can i expect out of the engine at 27psi.

mates been running 22 for over a year now, the car does over 500k a week and isnt driven nicely. has high 200's on the clock too

I know of a late model GQ running 27psi+ and it fried a piston. Not sure how much the fuel was wound up though. As its running a bigger injector pump.

glenn binskin had somethin like 160 000km on his td42 runnin 25psi n most of them were comp k's, out back n winch style stuff

its not that big of a prob as how offen do you reach that high as you basically need a steep hill or be towing as mine doesnt really go above 15psi unless im in 4th or 5th gear and i stopped doing in 5th as i distoryed 5th gear
i had it done to mine with only 10000klms brand new on the clock it now has 150000klms still going strong and i towed a 3.5tonne caravan around for 30000klms of its life and it has done heaps of comps and as you can see by the avitar it aint real standard
and mine is supper fueled up its like a squid when it takes off or if its to low in the revs and the turbo hasnt spooled up enough i also put an electric fuel pump in line as it suffered up top to keep it rich enough
so take it from me i havent been able to kill mine and its not that i havent tried
