Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Is the 3.1L tubo diesel 4JG2 motor better than the 3.0L turbo diesedl motor? I just blew up the turbo in my 01 Jackaroo and looking at options.
Does the 3.1L fit easily into an 01 Jack?
Has any one had experience with Japanese imported front cuts? Are the motors in these any good?

Probably a bit late, but ... I've already done the turbo in my '98 Jack. Needless to say, but Swann Insurance's Extended Warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on ... I went for a Garrett turbo instead of original. Can't remember the exact price, but I think it was about a grand cheaper. I stuck with the original donk.
