10 spline or 24 spline??

i paid 600 for a 24 spline arb locker 2nd hand, but brand new (never installed). I guess this is the going rate, however i did have to set it up in the carrier, which is a pain in the ass.

It depends on how quick the seller wants to sell them? quickly he'll ask 1K or less the pair, but if they sit on them for a while and dont need the money urgently, they'll ask around $1500 or more.

If its a 10 spline, factor in the cost of new side gears (24 spline ones) and installation.

You can also strike it lucky with wreckers and such, that don't know what they are looking at. I paid 200 for a pair of Jac Mac hypoid lockers with axles, because the seller didn't know what they were.

Not sure on spline as they are still in mates rangie. Was hoping to get the pair for $1000.
Was hoping to swap the whole centres over? Get the better ratio too.

More information?? better ratio?? standard axles??, 1k they're worth buying regardless, setting up the lockers is easy, so long as you know how......I've done the odd one, if you dont, its ugly ;)

Mainly interested in "the better ratio"??

Well he has 35's on it and im pretty sure the ratios were done to suit the 35's.
Dont know anything about diffs in these yet, but thought i might be able to use the whole centre with the locker in it to save me having to pull everthing apart.
