Axle Wrap

How much axle wrap is too much in a linked suspension??

I recently have rebuilt all my suspension getting rid of all the heim joints and putting in poly bushes.. the rear works really well as it has been completely rebuilt to suit. but the front scares me a bit with how much it wraps up. It is because it is an overkill setup designed for running heims, and only has 120mm vert. separation. this works fine with the heim joints, but put a bushing in there with more deflection and it gets pretty wrappy..

So how much is too much? how much does a factory (jeep?) 5-link wrap under brakes/torque?

Wendle that is way yoo much wrap You will need to run a harder bush or widen the mounts at the chassis end.

don't you mean at the axle end?? that is what I did anyways, extended the mount and spread the links out another 60mm at the axle end.. problem solved, much nicer :D gives it a little bit of anti-dive, which keeps it a little friendlier on-road too..
the bushes probably are a little soft, but they are working well thus far..
