For the guy's that have fitted a navara or pathfinder LSD to to front of an MQ or GQ, what do you think of it??, does it work good onroad and offroad????

cant comment on performance, but wouldnt a cheap auto locker be easier?

Not cheaper though.. but you would be better off with a locker.

I added some extra discs to the pack to make it tighter. Works very good. Careful with them CVs...

An LSD up front would be kinder to CV's than a locker wouldn't it?

but not as much traction
CVs are cheap enough to replace

Should be, but be careful anyways. I already broke my first doing some rocks with 37" MTRs...Broke no CV with 33" and a loose LSD up front...

will an LSD in the front lock up both wheels when in 2wd or will it only work when in 4wd???? and would it be best to have a bit tighter????

I have one in the front of a GU works very well running 90ftp of pressure, makes the steering a little heavier but only when the hubs are locked in, (good cause you know when the auto hubs are unlocked.) It does lock up both wheels when used in anger i have footage to prove it. Also much cheaper than a locker. mine was $750 drive in drive away, where as an auto locker was about $1100 and an air locker $1500 fitted.

In some situations you dont want 100% traction at both front wheels but everythings a compromise ay.
